7th online seminar hosted by Working Group for Ocean Extremes (Dec. 2)

The 7th Online Seminar of the “WG for Ocean Extremes” was held. Yukito Tamura (A03-K108, ECHOES) gave a talk titled “Long-term modulation of decadal variability in the Kuroshio Extension and the tropical Pacific in an eddy-resolving climate model.” He presented results from long pre-industrial high-resolution climate model simulations that explore how decadal variability in the tropical Pacific drives decadal variability in the Kuroshio Extension, as well as how that relationship changes over longer time scales.
The WG for Weather and Climate Extremes, the WG for Ocean Extremes, and ECHOES all accept participation from outside Habitable Japan.
