The Shinsei-maru successfully retrieved the glider, which had been repeating dives to a depth of 1,000m for eight days, in the dense fog. The radiosonde observations have also ended, and the Shinsei-maru is now heading to the Oyashio region south of Hokkaido for the final CTD observations.
