Radiosonde observation practice camp at Cape Shionomisaki (May 7-9)

As a practice run for the upcoming Kuroshio-Oyashio observation campaign in June/July, more than 40 students of Habitable Japan gathered at Cape Shionomisaki to carry out the full sequence of atmospheric radio-sonde observation: balloon inflation, radiosonde setup, launch, and data reception. They also learned how to plot and interpret the observational data.
