ECHOES Summer School Day 2 (Sep. 24)
Posted: 2024.09.24
The second day started with an invited lecture by Masami Nonaka (A01-3), titled “Hotspot Projects in Climate Systems.” The lecture covered the fundamentals of mid-latitude atmosphere-ocean interactions and past research efforts, followed by an engaging Q&A session with undergraduate and graduate students. The invited talk was followed by oral presentations by participants. In the afternoon, participants were divided into small groups for a hands-on workshop analyzing meteorological, oceanographic, and biogeochemical data. Each group worked collaboratively on data analysis, culminating in discussion and a panel session to summarize the results. The workshop provided an excellent opportunity to practice interdisciplinary research.
